The Claridges - Traditional Luxury hotel in London

Long refered to as the jewel in London's Art Deco crown, and rightly so. Claridge's has a combination of both style and tradition that few hotels in the world can match.

An 'Old Lady' of London's luxury hotel scene, Claridge’s hotel has welcomed royalty and celebrities alike since it opened over 200 years ago. Yet the hotel has far from rested on its laurels over that time, it’s most recent addition, the Map room, is perhaps one of the most stylish lounges in London. Its signature suites too provide guests with a wide array of styles to choose from - Victorian, Art Deco or contemporary. One thing that has remained the same though, is its world famous afternoon tea, rated by some as the best in London.

Amenities

Claridge’s hotel is blessed with some of the most unique venues in London, each one with its own distinct feel. The ballroom is one of the most beautiful in London, the foyer is one of the most grand, the Fumor bar is one of the most intimate and the Claridge's bar is one of the most glitzy.

The Foyer and Reading Room

Perhaps the grandest Art Deco room in London, the Foyer makes for a memorable place to have dinner. Its centre piece Chihuly light sculpture hangs from the room’s epically high ceiling. The venue is open for breakfast lunch and dinner, as well as for afternoon tea.

Claridge's Bar

There are few bars more beautiful than the David Collins designed Claridge's bar. Original Art Deco features are complemented beautifully contemporary touches such as a silver-leafed ceiling and green glass chandelier.

The Fumor

Designed by Thierry Despont the Fumor provides an authentic 1930's experience. Tucked away in the hotel the Art Deco bar features original 1930's Lalique panelling, heaps of gold details and lashings of rich leather.

The Rooms and Suites

Claridge’s hosts 203 rooms including 63 suites. Like its sister hotel the Connaught its rooms vary in style from an of the moment contemporary design to a timeless Art Deco design.
