Located on London's Green Park in Mayfair the Ritz name has been synonymous with luxury for over a century. Its 134 guestrooms and  suites are fit for royalty with their use of opulent gold leaf on high ceilings, authentic antique furniture and thick indulgent carpets. In fact it is the only luxury hotel in London that has received a Royal Warrant from HRH the Prince of Wales for banqueting and catering services, our concierge service cannot argue with that.

Amenities

The Ritz hotel is blessed with some of the most beautiful venues in the world. An endlessly elegant restaurant, a legendary tea venue - The Palm court and perhaps London’s premier club - the Ritz Club await guests to enjoy upon check in. Amongst this The Ritz offers The Cigar Lounge which will satisfy even the most seasoned cigar aficionados.

 

The Restaurant

Often described as one of the most beautiful and elegant dining rooms in Europe, The Ritz Restaurant is a must visit for anyone in London. Its ornate gold leaf details combine with the grandeur of high ceilings and expansive windows overlooking Green Park to impart a sense of occasion on every guest. The food served is French influenced with seasonal British ingredients.

Rivoli Bar

The bar at the Ritz Hotel is a dramatic juxtaposition next to rest of the hotel with its art deco design. It's camphor wood panelling, gold details and Lalique panels make for an endlessly classy venue.

The Palm Court

Perhaps the most famous venue in London for afternoon tea, The Palm Court is an exquisite venue that dazzles guests with its high ceilings, marble columns and enticing atmosphere. Extensive selections of over 17 teas are on offer along with a delectable choice of sandwiches, scones and cakes.

William Kent House Garden

The 18th century William Kent Manor house was incorporated into the Ritz Hotel in 2006 along with its garden. It really is a hidden gem with its landscaped flowers and intimate setting.

The Ritz Club

With a bar, restaurant and casino, the Ritz Club is located in the hotels former Ballroom and is one of the finest private members clubs in London. The epically beautiful room makes extensive use of marble and gold leaf combined with hand painted murals. The fine dining restaurant has an a la carte menu including Lebanese, however such is the service at the Ritz they will happily prepare any guest request. The Casino meanwhile hosts games of American Roulette, Blackjack, Punto Banco and Three Card Poker  and is open 24 hours a day.

The 134 guestrooms and suites are large and comfortable with immaculate detailing, high ceilings, classical proportions and spacious bathrooms. Each of the 21 magnificent suites offers the ultimate in no expense spared luxury, privacy and comfort.

The warmly coloured Superior Rooms maybe the entry level category but the spare no expense on their lavish decorations. Each one enjoys antique furnishings and gold leaf finishes.

Continuing the homage to the Louis XVI style the sumptuous deluxe rooms are 30sqm's of unbridled luxury. In addition to the superior rooms they feature a beautiful seating area (All bathrooms are marble).

More like Junior Suites in their feel the Deluxe Rooms host both a dressing table and work desk. The warm theme continues with the rooms eloquently finished in subtle blue, peach, pink and yellow fabrics.

 

Junior Suites | 46sqm

These suites offer an elegant seating area that can be sectioned off using the luxurious heavy draped curtains. They contain a wealth of original features too including fireplaces and make an excellent place to relax and enjoy the opulent Louis XVI style.

The separate living and sleeping areas in the Superior Suites are brought to life with original paintings  and rich furnishings. The suites also have a staff to room ratio of over one to one.

Executive Suites​

The Executive Suites look over the exterior of the Ritz' , making them extremely peaceful. Inside the large suites continue the lavish decor and opulent gold leaf touches, guests also have the benefit of a drawing room and a walk in wardrobe.

Just as charming are the Deluxe Suites. Most feature marble hallways that lead to the deep carpets, draped curtains and antiques that feature prominently throughout the living and sleeping spaces.

The Ritz' Signature Suites are amongst the most grand of any luxury hotel in London. They spare no expense executing the Louis XVI style to exceptional and authentic detail. Perhaps the most beautiful suite is the Royal Suite with its oval shaped bedroom overlooking Green Park. The Prince of Wales Suite also benefits from a private dining room and kitchen.

 

 

Group Layout Options

Despite being constructed over 100 years ago, The Ritz is extremely flexible when it comes to hosting groups. Entire floors can be sectioned off for the privacy and security of guests. Alternatively hallways can be partitioned to provide accommodation of up to 15 rooms and 3 suites. In addition the suites in the William Kent House wing all have private and discrete entrances. A number of private dining and function rooms can be hired, and so too can the William Kent House garden.

 

Bluebird's Favourite Feature:

Taking patrons back to 1906, the Louis XVI inspired room is a celebration of polished marble, thick pile carpet and spectacular chandeliers. The grandiose style really does impart a lasting impression on each and every visitor. The food is fitting too, Chef John Williams creates seasonal menus based upon a core 'best of British theme'. After visiting it is easy to see why some regard it as being the most beautiful dining room in Europe
