The Best Cocktail Bars in London
According to Drinks International 8 of the top 50 cocktail bars in world reside in London. Visitors then are spoilt for choice. For two years running the Artesian at the Langham hotel has topped that list, whilst Nightjar (2nd) and the Connaught bar (4th) are close behind.

A charmingly quirky new bar on Mayfairs Bruton Lane themed upon the main character of 'Around the World in 80 days' - Mr Fogg. The bar is a bazar yet endlessly interesting collection of Victorian period items from around the globe, think pith helmets, taxidermy, bird cages and even a hot air baloon.

Nightjar

The king of prohibition era bars in London, Old streets Nightjar is to drinks what Heston Blumenthal is to food – drinks are conceived and delivered with a great sense of theatre. Expect heaps of dry ice, exotic ingredients and attention grabbing garnishes. Live Jazz is performed on most nights too.

Artesian Bar

The Artesian bar can officially lay claim to be the 'World’s best bar' having being voted it by Drinks international in 2012. The bar specialises in rum based cocktails and there are over 100 to try. Despite the sheer number, the Artesian won’t be found lacking in attention to detail, even the ice cubes have a special formula to keep them cooler for longer.

Calooh Callay

Located in the trendy bar hot spot around the old street roundabout, Calooh Cally has served some of London’s most innovative cocktails since 2008. The décor is an intriguing mix between Victoriana and nineties throwbacks. The bar can be busy most nights so a booking in the bars hidden lounge, entered through a wardrobe, is recommended.

The Luggage Room

This summer the Marriot Grosvenor Square hotel converted its old luggage room to a secret 1930's cocktail bar. Guests must enter by knocking on a small unmarked door to the left of the hotels main entrance. The bar is a beautiful reflection of Art Deco design and opulence with lashings of chrome accents and leather.

The Connaught Bar

One of the most highly acclaimed bars in London, The Connaught Bar takes 1920's Art Deco style and turns it into a 21st century masterpiece. Even its textured walls are glamorous - they sparkle with inlaid platinum leaf. Our concierge service recommends ordering a martini; its bespoke constituents arrive in splendour upon a trolley along with a top mixologist, allowing you to tailor your drink to your own taste.

Milk and Honey

At the forefront of London's bar scene since 2002, Milk and Honey brings some of London's best cocktails to its discerning crowd. Each and every fruit juice is squeezed by hand, whilst ice in the 'Red Room' is chipped from a huge block of ice made from mineral water. Traditionally a members club, Milk and Honey is open to all with bookings before 11pm.
