An oasis amongst the bustle of Piccadilly, Franco's is a classy yet inviting Italian restaurant. The venue compromises of both a cafe bar and a more formal restaurant next door. The food is very traditional Italian with a host of pasta dishes and pastries.

Cecconi’s

5A Burlington Gardens, W1

Taken over by the Soho House Group in 2005 Ceconni's now has outposts in West Hollywood and Miami, Istanbul and Berlin.  The priority here is on using the finest ingredients to make modern day classic Italian foods.

C London

23-25 Davies Street, W1K

Recently reopened in the heart of Mayfair, C London is headed by  Giuseppe Marangi of Cipriani in New York fame. Frequented by celebrities the restaurant has become on of the must see places in 2016. Signature dishes included the baked tagliolini with ham, borrowed from the original restaurant and the Beef carpaccio.

The River Cafe

Thames Wharf, W6 9HA

Located in a riverfront wharf in Fulham, the River Cafe brings fine dining to the Thames. Inside the restaurant uses fresh and light tones to create a calming atosphere, with drama added by the centre piece stone pizza oven. The River cafe also boasts a lovely outdoor terrace for al fresco dining.

Locanda Locatelli

The Churchill Hotel, W1H 7JZ

Giorgio Locatelli's Locanda Locatelli is more than an excellent rest bite from the busy Oxford street one block away. The restaurant focusses on traditional Italian flavours combined with state of the art techniques. The pasta dishes are amongst the best in London. Decor wise the venue is understated, relaxed and comfortable making it the perfect place for informal fine dining.

Murano

20 Queen Street, Mayfair W1

Michelin-Starred Head chef Angela Hartnett was trained by Gordon Ramsay during the 1990s at Aubergine, and since has become on of London's leading female chefs. Murano offers modern Italian fine dining in luxurious surroundings yet with an informal, non stuffy, service.

Theo Randall at the Intercontinental

The Intercontinental on Park Lane’s flagship restaurant is undoubtedly Theo Randall's effort. Situated on the ground floor in a spacious, colourful and bright room the restaurant is great for all day dining. The food is where the restaurant really excels though, with simple yet delectable rustic dishes inspired by the north of Italy.

Assaggi

39 Chepstow Place, W2 4TS

One of the most traditional and intimate Italian restaurants in London is the low key Assaggi restaurant in Notting Hill. The interior is simple and relaxing with a pastel peach and blue colour scheme. Like Theo Randall at the Intercontinental Park Lane Assaggi takes Italian cooking back to its roots with a strong focus on the quality of ingredients rather than the quantity.

Scalini's
